Recently, at the invitation of Kartal Koşuyolu High Specialization Training and Research Hospital in Istanbul and Mehmet Akif High Specialization Training and Research Hospital in Ankara, Turkey, Professor Feng Yuan and Associate Professor Zhao Zhengang from WCH’s Department of Cardiology traveled to Turkey to provide international mentoring on transcatheter pulmonary valve replacement (TPVR). They guided Turkey’s top-tier medical teams in treating four complex cases using China’s innovative VenusP-Valve, further advancing the global reach of China’s transcatheter valve therapy and high-end interventional devices.

Under the guidance of Professors Feng Yuan and Zhao Zhengang, renowned Turkish interventional cardiologists Professors Metin Sungur and Alper Güzeltaş led their respective teams in successfully performing TPVR with the VenusP-Valve, treating four patients with pulmonary valve regurgitation. Postoperative results showed complete resolution of pulmonary regurgitation and significant improvement in hemodynamics. The Turkish team praised the collaboration as "a model for Sino-Turkish medical cooperation".
